كما شارك كمتحدث رئيسي في الاجتماعات التالية: الاجتماع الأول للمنتدى الدائم للحوار العربي الأفريقي للديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان المعقود في مقر جامعة الدول العربية في القاهرة في الفترة من 7 إلى 9 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009؛ ومشاورة الخبراء بشأن حق المهاجرين الدوليين واللاجئين وطالبي اللجوء في التعليم، التي عقدها المقرر الخاص المعني بالحق في التعليم، بدعم من معهد المجتمع المفتوح في كانون الثاني/يناير 2010؛ والمشاورة العالمية بشأن صحة المهاجرين التي نظّمتها المنظمة الدولية للهجرة ومنظمة الصحة العالمية في مدريد في الفترة من 3 إلى 5 آذار/مارس 2010.

He also participated as a keynote speaker at the following meetings: the first meeting of the Permanent Forum of Arab-African Dialogue on Democracy and Human Rights, held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo from 7 to 9 December 2009; the expert consultation on the right to education of international migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers convened by the Special Rapporteur on the right to education with the support of the Open Society Institute, in January 2010; and the Global Consultation on Migrant Health organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in Madrid from 3 to 5 March 2010.
