Prior to the International Conference of Labour Statisticians, the Department of Statistics organises a Meeting of Experts on Labour Statistics, which generally examines a draft resolution on a particular topic and makes recommendations, on the basis of which the Department prepares proposals for the International Conference of Labour Statisticians to consider.
