Colour coordinates of the digital image are converted into an opposite coloured space of the print, in which all of the colours of the original are characterized by one achromatic coordinate IF and two chromatic coordinates (CF,SF), and in which the colour coordinates (In,Cn,Sn) of the base vectors of all coloured inks and the colour coordinates (Inm,Cnm,Snm) of the base vectors of the superposition, in pairs, of two neighbouring coloured inks, namely the n coloured ink and the m coloured ink, are determined.

Les coordonnées couleurs de l'image numériques sont converties en un espace couleur inverse d'empreinte dans laquelle toutes les couleurs de l'original sont caractérisées par une coordonnée achromatique 1F et deux coordonnées chromatiques (CF,SF), et dans laquelle sont déterminées les coordonnées couleurs (ln,Cn,Sn) des vecteurs de base de l'emplacement commun de deux teintes de couleur voisines n et m.
