من واجبنا أن نعلن، بالإشارة إلى موضوع العنف ضد المرأة، أن مركز العدالة والقانون الدولي، بالإضافة إلى الفرع الوطني للجنة أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي للدفاع عن حقوق المرأة، قدما التماساً ضد دولة البرازيل إلى لجنة البلدان الأمريكية لحقوق الإنسان يتعلق بقضية ماريا دا بنها.

It is our duty to inform, with reference to the theme of violence against women, that the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL-Brazil), together with the national section of the Latin-American Committee of the Caribbean for the Defense of Women’s Rights (CLADEM-Brazil) have filed a petition against the Brazilian State with the Inter-American Human Rights Commission, regarding the case of Maria da Penha.

En relación con la violencia contra la mujer, es nuestro deber informar de que el Centro para la Justicia y el Derecho Internacional (CEJIL-Brasil) y la sección nacional del Comité de Latinoamérica y el Caribe para la Defensa de los Derechos de la Mujer (CLADEM-Brasil) han presentado una reclamación contra el Brasil ante la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos respecto del caso de Maria da Penha.
