At the 6th MGC Ministerial Meeting held in New Delhi in 2012, some newer areas of cooperation have been identified including the establishment of an India-CLMV Quick Impact Projects (QIP) Fund of US$ 1 million annually, SME cooperation, conservation of Rice GermPlasm, setting up a Working Group on Health for information-sharing and cooperation in Pandemic Management, as well as setting up of a Common Archival Resource Centre (CARC) at the Nalanda University.

2012 में, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित छठवीं एम जी सी मंत्री स्तरीय बैठक में सहयोग के कुछ नए क्षेत्रों की पहचान की गई है जिसमें हर साल एक मिलियन अमरीकी डालर की भारत - सी एल एम वी त्वरित प्रभाव परियोजना (क्यू आई पी) निधि, एस एम ई सहयोग, राइस जर्म प्लाज्म का संरक्षण, सूचना की हिस्सेदारी के लिए स्वास्थ्य पर एक कार्य समूह की स्थापना तथा महामारी प्रबंधन में सहयोग तथा नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय में एक सामान्य पुरातात्विक संसाधन केंद्र (सी ए आर सी) की स्थापना शामिल है।
