Bei Infektionen nach Knietotalendoprothese (Knie-TEP) zeigen die Blutkörperchensenkung und das C-reaktive Protein (CRP) eine relativ hohe Sensitivität bei geringer Spezifität und werden deshalb vornehmlich zum Infektausschluss eingesetzt.
