اسمحوا لي أن اُحيّ هنا شهادة الإيمان المقدّمة من قِبل كنيسة السريان الأنطاكية عبر تاريخها المجيد، شهادة محبة متوقدة للمسيح الذي سمح لها أن تكتب، حتى يومنا الحاضر، صفحات بطولية لتبقى أمينة لإيمانها حتى الاستشهاد.

Gestatten Sie, daß ich mich hier vor dem Glaubenszeugnis verneige, das die syrische Kirche von Antiochien im Lauf ihrer ruhmvollen Geschichte gegeben hat, ein Zeugnis einer glühenden Liebe zu Christus, die sie bis in unsere Tage heroische Seiten schreiben ließ, um ihrem Glauben treu zu bleiben bis hin zum Martyrium.

Allow me to acknowledge here the testimony of faith shown by the Syrian Antiochene Church in the course of its glorious history, a testimony to an ardent love for Christ, which has caused it to write some heroic pages of this history, right up to the present, by remaining committed to the faith even to the point of martyrdom.
