The IEEE 11073-based user authentication method according to the present invention comprises: a step in which an IEEE 11073 agent transmits, to an IEEE 11073 manager, an association request message comprising user authentication information; a step in which the IEEE 11073 manager transmits the user authentication information to a user authentication server in response to the received association request message; and a step in which the IEEE 11073 manager receives, from the user authentication server, authentication result information about authentication based on the user authentication information.
