تشير أيضا إلى أنها قد حددت في قرارها # باء مهام نائب الأمين العام وفترة توليه منصبه، وتقرر أنه ينبغي لهذه المهام أن تتفق والقرار المذكور أعلاه ولا ينبغي أن تحجّم دور الأمين العام أو مسؤولياته بصفته المسؤول الإداري الأول للمنظمة، وذلك في عدة مجالات من بينها السياسات الإدارية والمسائل التنفيذية العامة؛

Recalls also that in its resolution # the General Assembly identified functions of the post of the Deputy Secretary-General and the duration of its term of office, and decides that the functions of the post should be in accordance with the above resolution and should not diminish the role or responsibilities of the Secretary-General as the chief administrative officer of the Organization, including in management policies and overall operational matters
