As a special initiative, millet based additional nutritional supplementary food, in the form of cookies/chikkies and ladoos was provided to the malnourished children in the Districts of Ariyalur and Perambalur enrolled under Nutritious Meal Programme at a total cost of 5.00 crore, on a pilot basis.
