During the biennium, countries of the region carried out 228 new actions, in line with ECLAC recommendations, to achieve and monitor progress towards the fulfilment of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and the Regional Strategy for the Implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (more than three times the target).

Durante el bienio, los países de la región emprendieron 228 nuevas medidas de conformidad con las recomendaciones de la CEPAL para avanzar y supervisar el progreso hacia el cumplimiento del Programa de Acción de la Conferencia Internacional sobre la Población y el Desarrollo y la Estrategia Regional de Implementación para América Latina y el Caribe del Plan de Acción Internacional de Madrid sobre el Envejecimiento (resultado que supera en más de tres veces el objetivo).

Au cours de l’exercice biennal, les pays de la région ont pris 228 nouvelles mesures inspirées des recommandations de la Commission en vue d’assurer l’exécution du Programme d’action de la Conférence internationale sur la population et de la stratégie régionale de mise en œuvre du Plan d’action international de Madrid sur le vieillissement et de suivre les progrès accomplis en ce sens (soit plus du triple de l’objectif).

В течение двухгодичного периода страны региона приняли 228 новых мер в соответствии с рекомендациями ЭКЛАК для достижения и отслеживания прогресса в деле выполнения Программы действий Международной конференции по народонаселению и развитию и региональной стратегии осуществления в Латинской Америке и Карибском бассейне Мадридского международного плана действий по проблемам старения (целевой показатель превышен более чем в три раза).
