The purpose of this network is to facilitate communication between non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Council and the Non-Governmental Organizations Section/Department of Economic and Social Affairs to foster the collaborative relationship among non-governmental organizations and to enhance the involvement of all non-governmental organizations in the programmes and capability of the Council, particularly those of the high-level segment, and the United Nations at large
