Two ortologues (EjFT1 and EjFT2), very similar two those found in the subfamily Maloideae species, have been found, diverging in function and differing in temporal expression, both expressing at the beginning of the vegetative growth, and EjFT2 also at the floral bud inductive period.

Se han encontrado dos ortólogos (EjFT1 y EjFT2) muy similares a los existentes en otras especies de la subfamilia Maloideae, pero con patrones de expresión distintos entre sí. Así, ambos se expresan al inicio del crecimiento vegetativo y EjFT2 lo hace también en el momento de la inducción floral.
