والغرض من هذا التعاون هو تعزيز مشاركة العلماء، ومنظمات البحث والبلدان الأعضاء في معهد البلدان الأمريكية لبحوث تغير المناخ في المنبر، ولتوجيه برامج العمل التابعة للمعهد نحو تلبية بعض الاحتياجات المستقبلية للمنبر.

The purpose of the collaboration is to strengthen the participation of scientists, research organizations and member countries of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research in the Platform, and to guide the science programmes of the Institute towards addressing some of the future needs of the Platform.
