Rear Admiral Dillon transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in late 1944 and moved from one coast to the other serving at HMCS NADEN in Esquimalt B.C. and then PROTECTOR in Sydney, N.S. as Supply Officer in 1945.

En 1944, le Cam Dillon est transféré à la Marine royale canadienne. Il se déplace d'une côte à l'autre, alors qu’il sert au NCSM NADEN à Esquimalt, puis comme officier d'approvisionnement au NCSM PROTECTOR à Sydney (N.-É.) en 1945.
