The contaminants presents in the crude water that arrives to the treatment plant, the insufficient treatment of the sewage and industrial effluents, the spill in the sea of no treated water, the lack of an adequate infrastructure and the increasing demand, put in risk the Environment, the health of the population and the future of a tourist centre whose major resource live in the water.

A esto deben sumarse los contaminantes presentes en el agua cruda que llega a la planta potabilizadora, el tratamiento insuficiente de los efluentes cloacales e industriales, el vertido en el mar de aguas no tratadas, la falta de una infraestructura adecuada y la creciente demanda, todo lo cual pone en riesgo el Ambiente, la salud de la población y el futuro de un centro turístico cuyo principal atractivo vive en el agua (Figura 5).
