وتساءل عما إذا كانت هذه المشكلة ناجمة عن الترجمة حيث إن كلمة "مدان" تستخدم في وصف أولئك الذين حوكموا أمام إحدى المحاكم وتبين أنهم مذنبون ولا تستخدم في وصف الخاضعين للتحقيقات قبل المثول أمام محكمة ما لتوجيه التهم إليهم.

He wondered whether the problem was one of translation as the word “convict” was used to describe people who had been tried and found guilty by a court and not those who were under investigation with the purpose of being brought before a court to be charged.

Il se demande s’il y a un problème de traduction car le mot «condamné» est utilisé pour désigner des personnes qui ont été jugées coupables et non pas celles qui font l’objet d’une enquête dans le but de comparaître devant un tribunal pour être inculpées.
