Special attention should be given to the danger of discrimination against members of certain special population groups within criminal proceedings, either in terms of the discriminatorily strict treatment of perpetrators who are members of these groups, or in terms of the discriminatorily superficial treatment of victims who are members of these groups (also, and in particular, with respect to issues of torture within the meaning of the Convention against Torture).

Hay que prestar especial atención al peligro de discriminación contra los miembros de ciertos grupos especiales de población en el marco de las actuaciones penales, bien en razón de un trato discriminatoriamente estricto de los delincuentes cuando pertenecen a estos grupos, bien en razón de un trato discriminatoriamente superficial de las víctimas pertenecientes a estos grupos (también, y sobre todo, en casos de tortura en el sentido de la Convención contra la Tortura).

Следует уделять особое внимание опасности дискриминации в рамках уголовного производства представителей некоторых особых групп населения, проявляемой либо в форме дискриминационно жесткого обращения с преступниками – представителями этих групп, либо в дискриминационно поверхностной защите жертв из числа представителей тех же групп (в частности, в отношении пыток по смыслу Конвенции против пыток).
