Περνάει μέσα από την κοιλάδα των Τεμπών, μεταξύ Ολύμπου και Όσσας (Κσσάβου) και αφού δεχθεί τα νερά των πηγών Δάφνης και Αφροδίτης, στρέφεται βορειοανατολικά και καταλήγει στο Αιγαίο Πέλαγος, σχηματίζοντας μικρό δέλτα, νότια του ακρωτηρίου του Πλαταμώνα και βόρεια του χωριού Στόμιο.

It passes through the valley of Tembi, between Olympus and Ossa (Kissavos) mountains and after it receives the waters of the sources of Daphne and Aphrodite, it turns north-eastern and it flows into the Aegean Sea, creating a small delta, to the south of the cape of Platamonas and to the north of the village Stomio.
