Thus, speaking as a native of Puerto San Julián — site of the historic first meeting, in 1520, between European and local cultures — he urged the Committee to continue working to implement the General Assembly’s calls for Argentina and the United Kingdom to renew their dialogue and find a just and lasting solution to the sovereignty dispute, which was hindering the open contacts between the Islands and the mainland, that had enabled his family to settle in Patagonia.

В этой связи, выступая в качестве уроженца Пуэрто-Сан-Хулиана – места исторической первой встречи европейцев с представителями местных культур в 1520 году, - он настоятельно призывает Комитет продолжать работать над обеспечением выполнения призывов Генеральной Ассамблеи к Аргентине и Соединенному Королевству возобновить свой диалог и найти справедливое и прочное разрешение спора о суверенитете, который затрудняет открытые контакты между островами и континентальной частью, позволившие его семье поселиться в Патагонии.
