It is intended to provide a gene amplification method whereby both of a methylated nucleic acid and an unmethylated nucleic acid occurring in a biological sample can be amplified and, moreover, the amplification rate(s) of the methylated nucleic acid and/or unmethylated nucleic acid can be appropriately controlled.
