وأبلغت اللجنة أن بعثة تقييم أمنية مشتركة بين مكتب منسق شؤون الأمن في الأمم المتحدة وإدارة عمليات حفظ السلام قد أوفدت إلى أفغانستان في تموز/يوليه 2004، وأوصت البعثة بإنشاء نظام إدارة أمنية متكامل وحيد من شأنه أن يوحد الأصول الأمنية في البلد.

The Committee was informed that the United Nations Security Coordinator and the Department of Peacekeeping Operations had jointly conducted a security assessment mission in Afghanistan in July 2004, which had recommended the establishment of a single, integrated security management system that would unify the security assets in the country.

Se informó a la Comisión de que la Oficina del Coordinador de Asuntos de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas y el Departamento de Operaciones de Mantenimiento de la Paz habían llevado a cabo conjuntamente en julio de 2004 una misión de evaluación de la seguridad en el Afganistán, que recomendó el establecimiento de un sistema único e integrado de gestión de la seguridad que unificara los bienes relacionados con la seguridad disponibles en el país.
