Debido a las contradicciones que tenían que ver tanto con un problema metodológico de funcionamiento como con las propias tendencias políticas existentes en el país, la masonería regular se opone radicalmente a este cuerpo masónico y finalmente el Supremo Consejo de EE.UU. descalifica al GOCA por carecer de la debida autorización para su fundación y porque sus fines -según este Consejo- eran “enteramente políticos”.
