Η έκδοσή της χαιρετίσθηκε θερμά από την Α. Θ. Π. Οικουμενικό Πατριάρχη κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίο, ο οποίος στο προλογικό σημείωμα της έκδοσης τονίζει μεταξύ άλλων σχετικά με την βαρύνουσα σημασία της έρευνας: «Η παραλαβή του Αγίου Μύρου εκ του πανσέπτου Οικουμενικού Θρόνου, η ακρίτως και ασεβεί βουλή εν επικαιρικαίς δυσχερίαις υπό τινων εν Ελλάδι αμφισβητηθείσα, χάριτι Θεού ου διεκόπη και ολέθριοι επιπτώσεις απεφεύχθησαν, δεδομένου ότι η κανονικότης συμπορεύεται μετά του ορθού δόγματος και του εκκλησιαστικού ήθους.

Its publication was warmly acknowledged by His All Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew, who highlights, inter alia, the great significance of the research: “The acceptance of the Holy Myrrh by the all-holy Ecumenical Throne, questioned injudiciously and impiously by some in Greece under the current adversities, but with the grace of God stopped and, thus, dire consequences were avoided, given that canonicity proceeds together with the sound doctrine and ecclesiastical ethos.
