UNESCO has also initiated with the World Association of Newspapers a project on media in education in South-Eastern Europe that offers opportunities to young people to learn critical reading and to raise awareness of the role of the media in democratic society.

L’UNESCO a également lancé en coopération avec l’Association mondiale des quotidiens d’information un projet « Médias et éducation » en Europe du Sud-Est qui offre aux jeunes la possibilité d’apprendre à lire d’un oeil critique, et vise à mieux faire connaître le rôle des médias dans une société démocratique.
