Zur diagnostischen Einordnung von Gliomen und Metastasen gehört die Abgrenzung dieser Entitäten von einander, von anderen Neoplasien sowie von nichtneoplastischen Läsionen. Es werden auf die zugrunde liegende Entität hinweisende Bildeigenschaften in der MRT und CT dargestellt.

Differentiation of these two entities from other neoplasias and non-neoplastic lesions is one of the goals of diagnostic imaging and is illustrated on the basis of typical examples with computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
