تشجع الأمين العام على تعزيز التنسيق بين إدارة شؤون الإعلام وسائر الإدارات التابعة للأمانة العامة، بما في ذلك تعيين مراكز تنسيق للعمل مع الإدارات الفنية لتحديد الجمهور المستهدف ووضع برامج إعلامية واستراتيجيات لوسائط الإعلام عن القضايا ذات الأولوية وتشدد على ضرورة أن تعمل القدرات والأنشطة الإعلامية في الإدارات الأخرى بتوجيه من إدارة شؤون الإعلام؛

Encourages the Secretary-General to strengthen the coordination between the Department of Public Information and other departments of the Secretariat, including the designation of focal points to work with substantive departments to identify target audiences and develop information programmes and media strategies for priority issues, and emphasizes that public information capacities and activities in other departments should function under the guidance of the Department;

Alienta al Secretario General a que refuerce la cooperación entre el Departamento de Información Pública y otros departamentos de la Secretaría, por ejemplo, mediante la designación de centros de coordinación que ayuden a los departamentos sustantivos a determinar el público a que van destinadas las actividades y a preparar programas de información y estrategias de medios de información para tratar cuestiones prioritarias, y subraya que las actividades y la capacidad de información pública de otros departamentos deberían estar sometidos a las orientaciones del Departamento de Información Pública;
