Im Magen-Darmtrakt des Menschen wurden mit der von Falck und Hillarp entwickelten Methode zur fluoreszenzmikroskopischen Lokalisation von Catechol- und Tryptaminen grünfluoreszierende Nervenfasern nachgewiesen.

By means of the fluorescence method for the detection of catechol- and tryptamines green fluorescent nerve fibres are shown to be present in the wall of the intestinal tract of man. No fluorescent nerve cells could be detected.
