With our separate area program application, we are looking folk art and traditional crafts performers (craft demonstrations, handicrafts, traditional games, local history etc.) and performers from all other arts (performance art, circus, visual arts etc.). You can also apply as a music or dance performer, but traditional stage performances do not suit the area program. The area program is meant to create exciting art encounters in new places and situations in the festival area. Performers that do not necessarily need a conventional stage for their performance are favored in the selection process.

Erillisellä alueohjelmahaulla etsitään esiintyjiä esimerkiksi kansantaiteen ja perinnetaitojen parista (työnäytökset, käsityöt, perinneleikit, paikallishistoria jne) sekä kaikilta muilta taiteenaloilta (performanssi, sirkustaide, kuvataide jne). Alueohjelmaan voi toki hakea myös musiikki- tai tanssiesiintyjänä, mutta perinteiset lavaesiintymiset eivät ohjelmakokonaisuuteen sovellu. Alueohjelmalla on tarkoitus luoda kutkuttavia taidekohtaamisia festivaalialueella uudenlaisissa paikoissa ja tilanteissa.
