By empirically testing the revised version of Bang and Chelladurai (Paper presented at the Conference of the North American Society for Sport Management, 2003) VMS-ISE developed by Bang and Ross, this study tried to identify the motivational factors of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo volunteers and the inter-relationship between volunteers motivation, experience, and satisfaction.

Mediante la realización de pruebas empíricas de la versión revisada de la Escala de Motivaciones de los Voluntarios para Eventos Deportivos Internacionales (VMS-ISE, del inglés Volunteer Motivations Scale for International Sporting Events) de Bang y Chelladurai (2003) desarrollada por Bang y Ross, el presente estudio trató de identificar los factores motivacionales de los voluntarios de la Exposición Mundial de Shanghai de 2010 y la interrelación entre la motivación de los voluntarios, la experiencia del voluntario y su satisfacción.
