And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah enriches them of His Bounty. And such of your slaves as seek a writing (of emancipation), give them such writing, if you know that they are good and trustworthy. And give them something yourselves out of the wealth of Allah which He has bestowed upon you. And force not your maids to prostitution, if they desire chastity, in order that you may make a gain in the (perishable) goods of this worldly life. But if anyone compels them (to prostitution), then after such compulsion, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to those women, i.e. He will forgive them because they have been forced to do this evil action unwillingly).

விவாகம் செய்வதற்கு (உரிய வசதிகளைப்) பெற்றுக் கொள்ளாதவர்கள் - அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் தம் நல்லருளினால் சீமான்களாக்கும் வரை - அவர்கள் ஒழுக்கம் பேணட்டும். இன்னும் உங்கல் வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களில் (அடிமைகளில் உரிய தொகையைக் கொடுத்தோ அல்லது முறையாக சம்பாதித்துத் தருவதாக வாக்குக் கொடுத்தோ) எவரேனும் (சுதந்திரமாவதற்கான) உரிமைப் பத்திரம் விரும்பினால் - அதற்குரிய நன்மையான தகுதியை நீங்கள் அவ்வடிமையிடம் (இருப்பது பற்றி) அறிவீர்களாயின், அவர்களுக்கு உரிமை பத்திரம் எழுதிக் கொடுங்கள். இன்னும் அதற்கான பொருளை அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு தந்திருக்கும் பொருளிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பீர்களாக மேலும், தங்கள் கற்பைப் பேணிக் கொள்ள விரும்பும் உங்கள் அடிமைப் பெண்களை - அற்பமான உலக வாழ்க்கை வசதிகளைத் தேடியவர்களாக - விபசாரத்திற்கு (அவர்களை) நிர்ப்பந்திக்காதீர்கள். அப்படி எவனேனும் அந்தப் பெண்களை நிர்ப்பந்தித்தால் அவர்கள் நிர்ப்பந்திக்கப்பட்ட பின் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மன்னிப்பவனாகவும் கிருபையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.
