파일 업로드는 미디어위키에서 자주 사용되는 기능입니다. 하지만 모든 배포 버전에서 이 기능은 기본값으로 불가능하게 설정되어 있습니다. 파일 업로드를 활성화시키기 위해서는, 먼저 웹 서버(chmod -R 777 ./images 혹은 Apache 사용자에게 디렉토리를 쓰기 가능하게 허용하는 것 등) 에 의해 쓰기 가능한 업로드 디렉토리 (기본 images )를 만듭니다.
