إلا أنه ينبغي للأطراف أن تكفل حماية الكائنات البشرية الناتجة عن التدخلات الوراثية، حتى وإن كانت هذه التدخلات محظورة بموجب البروتوكول الإضافي لاتفاقية حقوق الإنسان والطب الحيوي؛
