ويخضع الأجانب الذين يؤدون عملاً غير مستقل داخل الأراضي اليونانية، بصرف النظر عن وضعهم القانوني من حيث الإقامة، إلى التأمين الإجباري في مؤسسة الضمان الاجتماعي منذ اليوم الأول لمباشرتهم عملهم، إذا لم يؤمن عليهم في أية منظمة ضمان اجتماعي أخرى، في حين تطبق عليهم الأحكام المتعلقة بالحماية الاجتماعية أيضاً، شأنهم في ذلك شأن المواطنين اليونانيين.

Foreigners who provide dependent work within Greek territory, independently of their legal status of residence, are obligatorily insured with the Social Security Foundation (IKA) from the first day of work, if they are not insured in any other social security organization, while the provisions pertaining to social protection are equally applicable to foreigners, as well as to Greek citizens.

Los extranjeros que no trabajen por cuenta propia en el territorio griego, al margen de su condición de residencia conforme a derecho, estarán asegurados por el Instituto de Seguridad Social (IKA) desde el primer día de trabajo, si es que no lo están por alguna otra organización de seguridad social, y además las disposiciones referentes al bienestar social son aplicables tanto a los extranjeros como a los ciudadanos griegos.
