In accordance with the landscape structures at arterial roads the passages have, so far, followed the general guidelines worked out by the Danish Road Directorate, Ministry of Transport and Energy in cooperation with the Danish Forest and Nature Agency under the Ministry of Environment and the National Environmental Research Institute, University of Aarhus in Denmark (NERI).
