وعلى هذا الأساس، شاركت الأرجنتين بنشاط في جملة أنشطة من بينها المفاوضات المتعلقة بمعاهدة تجارة الأسلحة، وفي إنشاء سجل الأسلحة التقليدية، والاجتماعات التي عُقدت بشأن برنامج عمل الأمم المتحدة لمنع الاتجار غير المشروع بالأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة من جميع جوانبه ومكافحته والقضاء عليه، إدراكاً منها بأن الاستقرار الدولي لا يمكن أن ينبني فقط على ضوابط وطنية وبأن هذه الصكوك تسهم في تحقيق السلام والأمن.

That being so, Argentina has been actively involved in, inter alia, the negotiations over the Arms Trade Treaty, the establishment of the Register of Conventional Arms, and meetings on the United Nations Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects, considering that international stability cannot be based solely on national controls and that these instruments contribute to peace and security.

En este contexto, la Argentina ha participado activamente en el proceso de negociación del Tratado sobre el Comercio de Armas, en el establecimiento del Registro de Armas Convencionales y en las reuniones del Programa de Acción sobre las Armas Pequeñas y Ligeras, entre otros, en el entendimiento de que la estabilidad internacional no puede descansar únicamente en controles nacionales y que estos instrumentos contribuyen a la paz y seguridad.

L’Argentine a pris une part active aux négociations relatives au Traité sur le commerce des armes, à l’élaboration du Registre des armes classiques et aux réunions du Programme d’action relatif aux armes légères, étant convaincue que la stabilité internationale ne saurait reposer uniquement sur des mesures de contrôle nationales et que les instruments susmentionnés concourent à la paix et à la sécurité.

Так, Аргентина активно участвует, в частности, в процессе переговоров по Договору о торговле оружием, создании Регистра обычных вооружений и совещаниях в рамках Программы действий по стрелковому оружию и легким вооружениям во всех ее аспектах и борьбе с ней, понимая, что международная стабильность не может основываться исключительно на национальных мерах контроля и что эти документы способствуют укреплению мира и безопасности.
