To this end, according to an aspect of the present invention, a method for preparing a polyene-based polarizing film can be provided, comprising the steps of: preparing a polyvinyl alcohol film by using a coating solution containing a polyvinyl alcohol; manufacturing a dry stretched film by dry stretching the polyvinyl alcohol film; and dehydrating the dry stretched film by using an acid catalyst.
