وفيما يتعلق باختيار وتعيين أمناء المظالم، اقترح الفريق أن يقوم الأمين العام بتعيين أمين المظالم للأمم المتحدة وأن يقوم الرؤساء التنفيذيون للصناديق والبرامج بتعيين أمناء المظالم للصناديق والبرامج، من قائمة مرشحين تضعها لجنة اختيار.

On the selection and appointment of the Ombudsmen, the Panel proposed that the United Nations Ombudsman and the Ombudsman for the funds and programmes would be appointed by the Secretary-General and the executive heads of the funds and programmes respectively from a list of candidates compiled by a selection committee.
