Potato mop-top virus (PMTV, Pomovirus) was detected recently in Colombia. PMTV is transmitted by zoopores of the protozoan Spongospora subterranean f. sp. subterranea, the causal agent of powdery scab in potato.

Recientemente se detectó en Colombia la presencia del virus mop-top de la papa (PMTV, Pomovirus), transmitido por zoosporas del protozoo Spongospora subterranea f. sp. subterranea, agente causal de la sarna polvosa de la papa.
