COSEWIC Executive Summary Northern Spotted Owl Strix occidentalis caurina Distribution The Northern Spotted Owl breeds in the coastal mountains and eastern and western slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range from northern California through Oregon and Washington to southwestern British Columbia (B.C.). In Canada, Northern Spotted Owls occur only in B.C., where they are found as far north as Anderson Lake, east to Mowhawkum Creek and west to Capilano River.

COSEPAC Résumé Chouette tachetée du Nord Strix occidentalis caurina Répartition La Chouette tachetée du Nord se reproduit dans les montagnes du littoral ainsi que sur les versants est et ouest de la chaîne des Cascades, à partir du nord de la Californie, en traversant les États de l'Oregon et de Washington, jusque dans le sud-ouest de la Colombie-Britannique (C.-B.). Au Canada, son territoire se limite à la C.-B. où on la retrouve jusqu'au lac Anderson au nord, Mowhawkum Creek à l’est et la rivière Capilano à l'ouest.
