Meyer je davao prednost tom "ispravnom kraju" a ne kraju u filmu, jer "kraj u filmu skreće od važnosti ljudi koji žive u sadašnjosti i uzimaju odgovornost za ekologiju kako bi spriječili probleme u budućnosti tako što rade nešto danas, umjesto da imaju fantaziju kako će biti teleportirani u utopijsku budućnost."
