Government's position that there should be no discrimination against visa applicants of Indian nationality on grounds of domicile and ethnicity has also been clearly conveyed to the Chinese Government on several occasions, including during the recent visit to India by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in December 2010.

चीन की सरकार को अनेक अवसरों पर सरकार के इस दृष्टिकोण से स्पष्ट रूप से अवगत करा दिया गया है कि अधिवास एवं जातीय आधार पर भारतीय राष्ट्रिकों के वीजा आवेदनों में कोई भेदभाव नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। इसमें हाल में चीन के प्रधान मंत्री की दिसंबर, 2010 में हुई भारत की यात्रा भी शामिल है।
