This new base, located in the subsection of the platform Porto-Miamán, belonging to the high-speed line Madrid-Galicia (under construction) and the conventional gauge line Zamora-Ourense (currently operational), will cover a surface of approximately 2.7 hectares and it will house a classification yard with five tracks, arranged on two interweaved rail racks of 1,668 mm and 1,435 mm wide, together with the premises and pieces of equipment needed.

Esta nueva base, que se encuentra en el subtramo de plataforma Porto-Miamán, perteneciente a la línea de alta velocidad Madrid-Galicia (en construcción) y a la línea de ancho convencional Zamora-Ourense (actualmente en servicio), ocupará una superficie de aproximadamente 2,7 hectáreas y alojará una playa de cinco vías, dispuesta en dos peines entrelazados de 1.668 mm y 1.435 mm de ancho, junto con los edificios y equipamientos necesarios.
