وقد أبلغت الحكومة الأمم المتحدة وآخرين بعدد محدود من الملاحقات القضائية والإدانات لأفراد مليشيات الجنجويد وعناصر الأمن النظامية وشبه النظامية، لكن هؤلاء، فيما يبدو، ليسوا من الأشخاص المتمتعين بمسؤولية قيادية إزاء الإساءات الرئيسية لحقوق الإنسان.

The Government has informed the United Nations and others of a limited number of prosecutions and convictions of Janjaweed and members of regular and semi-regular security forces, but they apparently were not persons with leadership responsibility for major human rights abuses.
