ويقوم موظف الشؤون السياسية الأقدم/قائد الفريق (ف-5) في الوقت ذاته بوظيفة الموظف المسؤول عن منطقة البلقان؛ وينصبّ تركيز أحد موظفيّ الشؤون السياسية (ف - 3) في المقام الأول على منطقة جنوب القوقاز؛ ويتناول موظف الشؤون السياسية الآخر (ف - 3) بشكل رئيسي بلدان رابطة الدول المستقلة.

The Senior Political Affairs Officer/Team Leader (P-5) is also a desk officer for the Balkans; one Political Affairs Officer (P-3) is primarily focused on the South Caucasus; the other Political Affairs Officer (P-3) deals mostly with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
