Die frühe Karriere brachte sie an die Hamburger Staatsoper, wo sie u.a. Pamina, Konstanze, Sophie und mit großem Erfolg Sophie Scholl in Zimmermanns "Weißer Rose" uraufführte, an die Bayrische und Wiener Staatsoper, zu den Lyrisch-dramatischen Sopranfaches von R. Strauss und R. Wagner und besonders als Leonore/Fidelio international profilierte.

Due to the early start of her career, she travelled widely and performed with growing success at the Hamburg State Opera, where she sang (amongst others) Pamina, Konstanze,Sophie. A great success was her Sophie Scholl in Zimmermann's "White Rose" which premièred there. She also performed at the name for herself with lyric - dramatic soprano parts of Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner, and especially so as Leonore / Fidelio.
