Anschließend wird die auf die Werkstückoberfläche aufzuprägende Mikrostruktur ermittelt, wobei die Mikrostruktur eine kurzwelligere Oberflächenstruktur aufweist als die ursprüngliche Werkstückoberfläche und so gewählt wird, dass langwellige Abweichungen der Werkstückoberfläche von der Zielgeometrie kompensiert werden, so dass nach einem Aufprägen der ermittelten Mikrostruktur auf die Werkstückoberfläche in einem anschließend durchführbaren Polierverfahren bessere Polierergebnisse und/oder kürzere Polierzeiten erzielbar sind.
