Concerning the questions raised by the Honourable Member on the access of European vessels to the waters around Svalbard, the Council has endorsed the position outlined by the European Commission in the Note Verbale referred to by the Honourable Member and addressed to Norway.

Wat betreft de vragen van het geachte Parlementslid over de toegang van Europese vaartuigen tot de wateren rond Svalbard, heeft de Raad zijn goedkeuring gehecht aan het door de Europese Commissie geformuleerde standpunt in de nota-verbaal die door het geachte Parlementslid wordt genoemd en tot Noorwegen is gericht.
