Und beten wir in dieser Stunde vor allem auch für alle diejenigen, die Weihnachten in Armut, in Leid, im Unterwegssein feiern müssen, daß ihnen ein Strahl der Güte Gottes erscheine; daß sie und uns jene Güte anrührt, die Gott mit der Geburt seines Sohnes im Stall in die Welt tragen wollte.

And let us also pray especially at this hour for all who have to celebrate Christmas in poverty, in suffering, as migrants, that a ray of God’s kindness may shine upon them, that they – and we – may be touched by the kindness that God chose to bring into the world through the birth of his Son in a stable.
