Imagine two people whom in order to save their lives have to jump the Grand Canyon. One is the Olympic gold medalist in long jump, the other one an elderly overweight businessmen who never exercised a day in his life. Undoubtedly the Olympic gold medalist will do a lot better jump than the businessman, but in the end they will both face the same destiny – the bottom of the Grand Canyon. That’s the point of The Scripture, which tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God but the gift of eternal life is by grace to anyone who will believe (Romans 6:23). No one has anything over the other; at the cross of Jesus we are all equally needy.

Fikiria watu wawili wanalo hitaji ili maisha yao yaokolewe lazima waruke magenge marefu ya Moto Makubwa.Mmoja ni mwanaridha wa Olimpiki aliye shinda medali ya dhahabu katika kuruka, na yule mwingine ni mfanya biashara mzee ambaye haja wahi kufanya mazoezi hata siku moja maishani mwake. Bila shaka yule mwana olimpiki atafanya vizuri zaidi kuruka kuliko huyu mfanya biashara, lakini mwishowe wote watakuwa na ajali moja - chini ya Magenge marefu ya Moto. Hii ndiyo lengo la hili Andiko, linayo tuambia ya kwamba wote wametenda dhambi na wame pungukiwa na utukufu wa Mungu, lakini karama ya uzima wa milele ni kwa neema kwa yoyote aminiye (Warumi 6:23).Hakuna aliye na chochote juu ya mwingine; pale msalabani sisi sote tu sawa.
